A developer's day is punctuated by twenty-second detours: an API returns a wall of unformatted JSON, a config file needs a Base64 blob, a query string has to be escaped correctly, or a stylesheet needs shrinking before it goes live. Each detour is trivial, and each one still breaks concentration if the tool you reach for is slow, ad-choked or asks you to sign in.
These developer tools are built to disappear. They load fast, they remember nothing, and they never transmit what you paste. That last point matters more than it sounds: production payloads routinely contain access tokens, customer email addresses and internal identifiers, and pasting those into an unknown server-side formatter is a data-handling incident waiting for a name.
